Born in Niigata prefecture in 1939, Ozuma moved to Tokyo at the age of 18. He won a prize from Kitan Club (a pioneering BDSM magazine) and had works published in SM Select, SM King, and SM Secret Novel. He used the name "Yoko Ozuma" for his torture artworks and "Kaname Ozuma" for his tattoo artworks. Yoko/Kaname Ozuma's works showcase the beauty that exists alongside physical pain, as well as Japanese-style serenity and emotion - the ultimate beauty in kinbaku and tattoos.
Book has been printed with special "stay flat" binding to allow full opening of the book so you can see the artworks printed across two pages. Several bilingual essays (JP/EN) are included! More/exact details will be added after the book arrives.
An exhibition will be held at Vanilla Gallery (October 4-19 - please tell them AkaTako sent you!).
