Born in Niigata prefecture in 1939, Ozuma moved to Tokyo at the age of 18. He won a prize from Kitan Club (a pioneering BDSM magazine) and had works published in SM Select, SM King, and SM Secret Novel. He used the name "Yoko Ozuma" for his torture artworks and "Kaname Ozuma" for his tattoo artworks. Yoko/Kaname Ozuma's works showcase the beauty that exists alongside physical pain, as well as Japanese-style serenity and emotion - the ultimate beauty in kinbaku and tattoos.
Book is beautifully published with special "stay flat" binding to allow full opening of the book so you can see the artworks perfectly printed across two pages. Bilingual text (JP/EN) including homages to Yoko Ozuma by Hajime Sorayama and Horiyoshi III/Yoshihito Nakano (each with an artwork!) and an essay by Toshiki Soma, art critic. Page edges are bright red. There are about 47 tattoo/bondage artworks, 13 tattooed beauties with no bondage, and 9 bondage with fewer or no tattoos.
An exhibition was held at Vanilla Gallery.
