Bilingual book illustrated by Takato Yamamoto and Aquirax Uno celebrates the 100th anniversary of Kyoka Izumi's famous play "Tale of a Castle Keep" (Tenshu Monogatari). Izumi's modern fantasy adventures inspired many other famous writers including Akutagawa, Tanizaki, Kawabata, and Mishima.
This book reads English from the left ("front" side of book) and Japanese from the right ("back" side of book). Both sides of book can be seen in first picture. Includes over 80 illustrations! Takato Yamamoto: 19 underdrawings, 19 full color paintings. Aquirax Uno: 22 sketches, 18 completed paintings. Also includes one full color collage of both artists, a few close up details, and many small sketches/excerpts within text. Selected originals available by inquiry.
Book is SIGNED inside the cover by both Takato Yamamoto and Aquirax Uno. Additional photos at special limited edition.
