The Japanese magnolia tree has large blooms in white or pink that appear very early in the season and before any leaves have sprouted on the tree. It is sometimes called the tulip tree because of the shape of the blossom. Very striking in the stark end of winter when everything else is still dead to see these giant white flowers sprouting out of black branches. |

| The photo is hand numbered on the front lower right corner in silver ink. Each photo also has an edition label on the reverse of the frame. This is printed on Japanese unryu paper and bordered with Japanese origami paper. The label is hand numbered and signed by the artist.
