JAPAN 1 SERIES o 8 o Camellia Blossom at Nijo-jo

Photo

Nijo-jo (Nijo Castle) is one of Japan's few remaining original castles. It was completed in 1603. The building is famous for it's nightingale floors that squeak when you step on them - a low-tech alarm system. Also for the beautiful garden that has been landscaped with thousands of varieties of flowers that bloom in all seasons. The camellia blooms in late winter.
